Of course All About Eve are best remembered as a goth-folk band but they took a highly unexpected left turn for that somewhat brilliant fourth and final album Ultraviolet – mixing Shoegaze and goth in a similar vein to Curve.

It didn’t really work out for them though, and they split shortly after.

Some Finer Day was the second single from the album, and I can’t help but think of it had been released by a different band, revered as a Shoegaze classic.
